Our Sensory Rooms
White Room
White sensory rooms allow a fresh and plain canvas for sensory experiences through light and sound rather than colour. With 2 bubble tubes, a bubble wall panel and different types of fibre optic lights, this room offers a tranquil, calm space with equipment that can be turned on and off by our visitors whenever they want.
The White Room is our largest multisensory room and is recommended for first-time visitors to our centre to get to know what we offer. This is our recommended room for first-time visitors to get to know what we have on offer and what works for them.
This is our lightest room and can help visitors with visual conditions such as Macular Degeneration to experience sensory experiences through brighter lighting. With overhead tracked hoisting, this space is accessible to all.
The White Room can also be booked in tandem with the Soft Play Zone. This gives sessions more space and variety for those who would like it.
Blue Room
The colour blue helps to create calm, quiet and relaxing spaces, and our Blue Room is a favourite among our members. With a double heated waterbed, vibrating chair and comfy beanbags to choose from, this cosy curved space encourages relaxation. Our bubble tube and hurricane tubes can also be controlled directly by visitors.
With over-head tracked hoisting, all visitors can enjoy using the waterbed and gazing at the twinkling ceiling lights with their favourite music on through our Alexa system. Complete with fibreoptic tails, this room is perfect for visitors looking for a more tranquil or eclectic session.
Star Room
As a smaller space, the Star Room offers a unique dark, UV sensory experience. With a single heated waterbed below twinkling stars and planets, this rich sensory environment is perfect for those who react well to visual stimulation.
For visitors with visual impairments who may not ordinarily experience much visual stimulation, the contrast of the UVs and fibreoptics glowing offers opportunity for empowering and meaningful interaction.
Interactive Room
Built around an interactive floor mat, our Interactive Room has hundreds of different programs and games to explore, both to encourage movement as well as for educational learning. The Interactive Room also includes bubble tubes, fibre optics, light-reactive equipment and a warm double waterbed, making it a positive and enjoyable experience for adults and children of all ability levels.
Whether you are looking for a high energy, engaging session or a relaxed one, this room has it all and can be tailored around what each individual would like.
With full tracked hoisting directly onto the mat or waterbed, everyone can enjoy this engaging, reactive sensory experience.
Soft Play
The Zone is our dedicated, high-accessibility soft play area, designed for use by both adults and children. The Zone includes a range of different multisensory experiences, including a climbing platform, giant keyboard, slide and interactive wall. Hoists and equipment are included to make our soft play area even more accessible.
Hydrotherapy Pool
(Video of Niall using the pool can be added here)
Designed for all visitors, our hydro pool has been built to provide as inclusive an experience as possible for our visitors, both those with learning disabilities and those with physical disabilities, thanks to the inclusion of a hoist, elevating changing beds and stability rails.
With a maximum of five people in the pool, it is the perfect size for a parent or carer to enjoy time spent in water without the overwhelm or stress of a typical swimming pool experience. Our changing rooms are also accessible, making for an enjoyable experience from start to finish.
Music Service
We love music at Worcester Snoezelen, and we’ve seen first-hand how it can be a powerful tool for communication, expression and joy for our visitors. Our staff offer a range of different music-based sessions, workshops and clubs for anyone to enjoy, and we even hold annual events, including the Christmas Concert that our members love getting involved in.
Our workshops vary from one-off sessions to Rock School, our bi-weekly live music club. From performing at concerts to simply getting to know different instruments and having fun, our music sessions and clubs are an excellent way to provide visitors of all ages with additional enrichment and new ways to enjoy themselves.
